Here is a collection of assorted photos from what was a memorable day in SE QLD for storms!

ALL IMAGES ARE CLICKABLE FOR LARGER SIZES

The first photo was a photo of the tornado that went just north of Stanthorpe and was taken by Vinnie Micallef who lives at The Summit.  (Huge thanks to Kym Hoffman who sent me this photo and sought out permission for me to display this!)

You can make out where the tornado went through, the foilage has been stripped off the trees (and many trees taken down), while nearby trees to the left and right were untouched.

Sheet of metal wrapped around a pole and still there...hail netting was shredded to bits!

The following photos were taken from the Currumbin storm through the Gold Coast by Ian Walkley (thanks to Joanne Walker for sending them to me and seeking permission!)

Plenty of large hail on the field, click on the image for a full, hi-res scan (around 3mb), but you can make out some very large stones on the ground in the full image!

AC
Hail dents on a car, some big, solid stones required to do this!
