Temperatures soared into the high 30s on New Year's Day bringing a great lightning show!

During the afternoon we headed out into the Downs to see if some of the storms got organised around sunset or after for lightning potential.  A line of storms developed near Millmerran and we headed westwards from Toowoomba to get some lightning photos.  Unfortunately, the outflow from the storms moved too far ahead which ruined the remainder of the Downs - and then we had a big line of storms develop just to our east!  Anyway, here are some photos...
