Nov 27, "SE QLD Fires At Last!"

Today was a travelling day.  The system had moved northwards and out to sea, and it wasn't worth going up into the Capricornia district.  So we headed south to position ourselves, we would have one or two quiet days ahead, the 29th was extremely marginal and today there was going to be nothing.  So we decided to have an easy morning before heading south late in the Morning towards Tamworth, about a 6.5hr drive away.  The others took some photos and footage of the scenery around Cunningham's Gap which is certainly quite pretty!

At Tenterfield, we swapped drivers (it was tempting to still drive, as I loved going around the mountains!), but it was also good as it was the first time I was ever able to sit back and enjoy the scenery - which is quite pretty around the Northern Tablelands.  We got down to Tamworth near sunset and grabbed some food to make dinner with and had an easy night in the cabin.
