Day 5-7, Brisbane

It looked very marginal on Sunday with the airmass quickly drying out with NW winds.  James and I decided to head back to Brisbane (as I had to go to hospital for some tests the following morning), and that way at least we could generally take our time.  We stopped off at the Moonbi Lookout to see what was happening (I’d driven past the turnoff dozens of times before south of Armidale, but never really had time to stop – but it certainly was a lovely view to the south!)

We grabbed lunch at McDonalds in Armidale – where, well – they don’t make toilet doors how they used to (long story!)…

Monday was a mostly dead day anywhere nearby – and Tuesday looked good in southern NSW and northern Victoria, but too far for us to travel to in one afternoon.  It was good to have a brief rest before setting out again for something closer on Wednesday.
